O&L Leisure is widening its reach across Namibia with the acquisition of two distinct properties—Le Mirage Resort & Spa in Sossusvlei and Divava Okavango Resort & Spa—completed August 1. By adding Le Mirage and Divava, O&L Leisure connects more of Namibia’s highlights in a single collection, from the dunes of Sossusvlei to the waterways of the Kavango and Chobe.

The pair of properties are well-known names in Namibia’s hospitality landscape. Le Mirage, instantly recognizable for its castle-like silhouette set against Sossusvlei’s rust-red dunes, brings architectural drama to the edge of Namib Naukluft Park. Its 27 rooms, courtyard pool, and spa services are paired with access to some of Namibia’s most iconic activities: hot-air ballooning, quad-biking across the desert, and sunrise dune excursions. More than 500 miles away, Divava Okavango Resort & Spa offers a softer counterpoint. Perched on the banks of the Okavango River, the 20-chalet property specializes in riverine experiences—boat safaris past hippos and crocodiles, helicopter flights over the Okavango Delta, and game drives in nearby Mahango and Buffalo reserves.

O&L Leisure’s managing director, Sven Thieme, described the expansion as an extension of the company’s rebrand earlier this year. “By welcoming Le Mirage and Divava to our portfolio, we’re inviting guests to discover new corners of Namibia—places rich in beauty, spirit and story—all through the lens of our philosophy: ‘Namibia Through Our Eyes,’” he said.

Both properties will continue to operate under existing management and systems while O&L introduces phased refurbishments. This approach preserves continuity for current staff and guests while allowing the company to bring its interiors and amenities in line with those of its other lodges, which include Chobe Water Villas, Mokuti Etosha, Strand Hotel Swakopmund, and Midgard.

The acquisitions also represent a notable shift in how O&L is positioning its portfolio. By offering properties across six different regions—including Etosha, Sossusvlei, the Kavango and Chobe rivers, the Atlantic coast, and the Otjihavera mountains—the group is effectively stitching together Namibia’s varied landscapes into a single journey. For high-end travelers, that continuity means fewer logistical hand-offs and more seamless immersion in one of Africa’s most diverse destinations.

Rates start at around $240 per person, double occupancy, for Le Mirage and around $284 for Divava on a dinner, bed, and breakfast basis. With their addition, O&L’s collection now offers six access points into Namibia’s natural highlights, positioning the company as a central player in shaping the country’s luxury travel narrative.
