The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach has officially completed a sweeping, multi-phase renovation designed to elevate its luxury experience while honoring the spirit and landscapes of O‘ahu. The transformation—years in the making—touches nearly every corner of the 552-room property, from a complete refresh of its ‘Ewa Tower accommodations to the debut of an all-new dining concept and a flagship suite collection.

Now entering its ninth year of operation, the residential-style hotel continues to distinguish itself in Waikīkī’s competitive luxury market. The update forms part of its broader “O‘ahu Reimagined” vision: a guest experience rooted in cultural storytelling, island aesthetics, and thoughtful hospitality.

Each of the three design tiers across the ‘Ewa Tower celebrates a different facet of the island, from coastal breezes to mountain peaks. The Deluxe Level (floors 9–22) embraces shoreline tones of sand and sea, while the Grand Level (floors 23–32) reflects the verdant bamboo groves of Mānoa Valley. The Premier Level (floors 33–36) draws inspiration from the Ko‘olau sky and rainbows. Across all tiers, curated local artwork connects travelers to the island through visual storytelling.

The property has also introduced immersive cultural programming in tandem with the design refresh. Guests are welcomed with a signature hibiscus-chrysanthemum tea created by local tea educator Kathy YL Chan and can participate in “My Story of O‘ahu,” a nightly sunset ritual where Hawaiian language students share personal chants and histories tied to place.

Also new is Solera, a contemporary dining concept rooted in Hawai‘i regional cuisine. Focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant is a modern expression of the island’s culinary heritage.

The renovation is crowned by the unveiling of The Ritz-Carlton Suite Collection, three expansive signature suites perched 350 feet above Waikīkī. These residences come with full chef’s kitchens, ocean views, and exclusive services, including luxury airport transfers, private check-ins, and curated in-room amenities.

“As we approach our 10th anniversary, we’re proud to present the next evolution of our hotel,” Mike Kass, the hotel’s general manager, said. “These enhancements reflect our continued commitment to providing a refined and authentic sense of place.”
