The Beverly Hilton is turning 70—and marking the milestone not just with Champagne toasts and nostalgic nods, but with the most ambitious transformation in its storied history. A year-long anniversary celebration is already underway, but the real story lies in what’s next: a sweeping, top-to-bottom renovation, first reported by Forbes, that will position the hotel as a cornerstone of the forthcoming One Beverly Hills development.
The multi-phase refresh, scheduled for completion in 2027, will retain Hilton’s mid-century glamour while ushering in a modern era of luxury. The renovation encompasses every touchpoint of the guest experience, including fully reimagined rooms and event spaces, as well as new culinary and retail offerings. The restoration of the legendary Aqua Star Pool, where Golden Globe winners have celebrated in couture and sequins, underscores the hotel’s dual commitment to heritage and modernity.

While the hotel remains fully open and operational during renovations, the updates come with an eye toward Beverly Hills’ increasingly competitive luxury landscape. When complete, the Hilton will sit at the heart of a 17.5-acre urban resort ecosystem that links the property with the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and Aman’s first West Coast urban hotel, which will include branded residences and a private members club.
This concentration of high-end offerings, botanical gardens, and curated retail may shift how advisors package Beverly Hills stays, especially for clients who want a blend of classic Hollywood cachet and next-gen amenities. Starting next month, VIP clients can book Decades Dinners in the Presidential Suite—multi-course meals inspired by archival menus and served with 100-proof Beverly Hilton Reserve whiskey—while anniversary packages will include vintage cars and nostalgic activations.
Behind the design is David Collins Studio, whose past projects span Mandarin Oriental Doha and Café de Paris Monte-Carlo. Together with Norman Foster’s master plan for One Beverly Hills, the redesign creates a full-on destination district, not just a hotel complex.
For now, advisors can expect continued access to the Hilton’s event spaces and rooms, with refreshed experiences arriving in phases. But by 2027, the Beverly Hilton will be more than a legacy property—it will be the connective tissue of one of California’s most elite hospitality zones.
