A recent trip to California—with kids in tow—found me at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Open since 1987 (it was renovated in 2018, and the property introduced new rooms and suites, along with a focus on wellness), the hotel, with its prime real estate on Doheny Drive, offers travelers a bit of everything: access to L.A.’s best restaurants, museums, and culture, all with the feel of a luxury resort.
The property’s design, spearheaded by Wimberly Interiors, is key to its success. (The wellness expansion was separately executed by the design firm Delos.) “Our design aesthetic is intentionally bright, chic, and residential—very much reflective of the way people actually want to live in Los Angeles,” the property’s general manager, Sebastian Hinsch, told Luxury Travel Report. “We lean into natural light, clean lines, and a neutral palette to create a modern California feel that’s polished but not overdone. With French doors opening to private balconies and full marble bathrooms, our guestrooms blur indoor-outdoor living in a way that feels both sophisticated and personal.”
The Four Seasons brand always takes exceptional care of families, I’ve found, and this hotel was no exception. Thoughtful extras, like stuffed animals, curated kids’ menus, child-sized robes, and mindful staff, really went the distance during our stay.
Why Travel Advisors Book It
- With multiple suite options—the largest of which can accommodate up to six guests—this is a rare urban hotel that can accommodate larger families and small groups in luxury.
- Centrally located, the hotel offers guests the option to explore many of Los Angeles’ neighborhoods.
- Generous rooms–even in the introductory categories–make for a commodious and well-appointed stay.
- The hotel’s dining options and amenities are plentiful, particularly for a property located within a large city.

Rooms & Suites
The hotel is elegant and elevated, with rooms embracing a neutral palette. Offering 285 total keys (a combination of 185 traditional guest rooms and 100 suites), the hotel rises 16 stories above Los Angeles, with a spectacular view of the city.
Guests can choose from 20 room categories, from the entry-level Superior Balcony Room to the top-tier Presidential Two-Bedroom Suite West, a stunning 2,398-square-foot suite with two bedrooms, space for two king-sized beds, two rollaways, and one crib. Other suite amenities include two full bathrooms and one powder room, living and dining rooms, sweeping views of Beverly Hills and Bel Air Hills, and bespoke details such as a foyer outfitted in black marble.
The hotel’s 285 rooms and suites can accommodate from two to six guests, and many can be connected, an ideal opportunity for families to stay together. As always, the Four Seasons keeps an eye out for its youngest guests, with extras like child-sized bathrobes, stuffed animals, and other youthful extras. Suite-category rooms offer pull-out couches in the living rooms, and are still spacious enough for an entire family to enjoy their own dedicated space.

Food & Drink
The hotel features four distinct dining experiences: Culina Ristorante & Caffé, The Lounge, La Ola, and an unnamed poolside restaurant.
Culina is the designated breakfast spot, though it also features a Cin Cin Hour in the afternoons, with reduced-price bar bites, spritzes, and cocktails. Guests can also enjoy dinner at the Culina, which morphs into the upscale Italian concept, Culina Ristorante. La Ola, specializing in coastal Mexican food, is open daily from mid-morning to late afternoon. Food and drinks by the pool are available all day, and highlights the coastal concept from La Ola.
Amenities & Wellness
The palm-lined fourth-floor pool was one of my family’s favorite parts of the hotel. Private cabanas can be rented for up to six people, with complimentary loungers for guests, too. Adjacent to the pool area is a full-service spa, with massages, body services, and nail services.
The hotel also boasts a 24-hour, open-air fitness center, with personal trainers available on request, a true Los Angeles moment.
Furthering their wellness mission, the spa has enlisted a troupe of Vitality Experts who are at the forefront of their fields. The hotel can arrange appointments with these experts—in skincare, body rituals, or spirituality—during the stay.

“Our new Flight Check Program, developed in partnership with Immortelle Integrative Health, reflects the way luxury travelers are redefining wellbeing as part of the journey—not just the destination,” added Hinsch.
“By combining IV hydration with Niagen+, immune-focused laser therapy, targeted photobiomodulation for cognitive support, and circulation-boosting thermotherapy, we’re helping guests proactively prepare for long-haul travel and recover more efficiently upon arrival. It’s a meaningful differentiator—an experience that supports performance, resilience and mental clarity, whether guests are flying in for business, awards season or an extended international stay.”
Other hotel amenities include an on-site UPS Store; in-room fitness and wellness equipment upon request; and, my personal favorite, luxury car transportation anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel, completely free.
Location & Access
To reach the hotel, travelers can take a 30-minute Uber or car service from Los Angeles International Airport. Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills can arrange a private car service to and from the airport at an additional cost.
