Vestige Collection is expanding beyond Spain for the first time with the opening of Vestige Xaudum, an intimate six-suite safari lodge in Namibia’s Khaudum National Park.
Located atop a Kalahari sand dune overlooking an ancient fossil riverbed, Vestige Xaudum will be the only lodge inside Khaudum National Park, one of Namibia’s lesser-visited wilderness areas. According to Vestige, fewer than 3,000 people visit the park annually.
Spanning nearly 1,500 square miles, Khaudum is part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, or KAZA, a vast conservation area spanning portions of Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The property will have just six accommodations. Five one-bedroom suites will each offer 2,153 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. A 4,198-square-foot, two-bedroom suite will feature four private decks and a plunge pool.
Suites will also feature indoor and outdoor showers, while the main lodge will include shared dining and relaxation areas, a spa, an open-air fitness deck, and a 78-square-meter swimming pool overlooking the surrounding wilderness. The property incorporates local materials and craftsmanship, including thatch sourced from villages surrounding Khaudum and work by craftspeople from nearby communities.
Dining will focus on ingredients sourced within Namibia, including locally sourced meat and produce. Fire-based cooking will play a central role, including dishes prepared over a traditional spit-braai. A six-course dinner will combine individually plated dishes with a family-style main course. Guests can also choose between private and communal dining, both indoors and on the lodge’s outdoor decks.

Rather than following a rigid safari schedule, experiences at Vestige Xaudum will be tailored around daily wildlife activity and individual guest interests.
Private guides and specialist 4WD vehicles will allow guests to change plans depending on wildlife movements, whether that means following reports of nearby lions, spending more time observing an elephant herd or focusing on the park’s birdlife. Other experiences will include bush breakfasts, stargazing and, upon request, guided bush walks outside the national park.
Vestige Xaudum represents the first phase of Vestige Collection’s larger expansion into Namibia. Three additional properties—Vestige Sorris Sorris, Vestige Omatendeka and Vestige Sheya Shuushona—are expected to open individually following Xaudum. Together, the four properties will create a circuit through different landscapes and ecosystems in northern Namibia.
Rates at Vestige Xaudum start around $1,800, per night on an inclusive basis. Rates include meals, safari experiences, spa treatments, and a selection of wines, spirits, and nonalcoholic beverages, including premium brands.
Reservations are now open for stays beginning March 15, 2027.
