Korean Air will officially open a newly renovated flagship lounge at Los Angeles International Airport on March 6, introducing a larger, redesigned space inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal as part of the airline’s ongoing investment in its premium ground experience.

The facility spans two levels and more than 18,000 square feet, making it Korean Air’s largest directly operated lounge outside of South Korea. The expansion increases the lounge’s footprint to roughly 1.27 times that of the previous space and follows a 22-month renovation valued at more than $40 million.

Located on the terminal’s upper levels, the lounge overlooks the interior of the international concourse through floor-to-ceiling windows and includes a balcony terrace facing the terminal’s central space. The design was led by Singapore-based hospitality design firm LTW Designworks, which incorporated natural light, warm wood textures, and stone finishes throughout the interior.

The lounge is divided into three main areas. The First Class Lounge occupies the sixth floor, while the Miler Club and Prestige Class Lounge sit on the fifth. Korean Air says the layout was designed to separate passenger groups while allowing for multiple seating and work zones across the facility.

Inside the First Class Lounge, the airline has introduced two private suites intended for individual relaxation as well as an à la carte dining program featuring made-to-order dishes. A full-service bar staffed by professional bartenders serves cocktails and premium beverages.

The Miler Club and Prestige Class Lounges incorporate open-kitchen dining stations where chefs prepare meals in front of guests. The airline has also added regionally themed touches, including Southern California craft beers and a custom Los Angeles coffee blend. Miler Club guests can order menu items directly from their seats through a QR-code digital ordering system.

Beyond dining, the lounge includes designated work areas, family seating zones, and shower suites designed for passengers connecting between long-haul flights.

The renovation arrives as Korean Air prepares for its planned integration with Asiana Airlines, with the LAX facility becoming the first overseas lounge to be redesigned ahead of that process. Los Angeles serves as Korean Air’s primary gateway in North America and a major connecting point for flights between Asia and destinations across the United States and Latin America.

The lounge will be open to eligible Korean Air premium passengers and to qualifying travelers flying with SkyTeam partner airlines.

“With the opening of this flagship lounge, Korean Air will further elevate its presence at LAX while delivering a more refined and differentiated premium travel experience,” said David Pacey, the executive vice president and chief of in-flight service and lounges at Korean Air. “We will continue to invest in our services and infrastructure to exceed the expectations of our global customers.”

Following the Los Angeles debut, Korean Air plans to unveil another renovated lounge later this year at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
