Explora Journeys is adding more weight to its North America leadership bench, naming industry veteran Morgane Beltaief as its vice president of consortia and strategic partnerships. Beltaief’s appointment comes as the brand is scaling quickly: Explora III arrives next summer, and three additional ships will follow before the decade closes.
Beltaief steps into the role with more than 20 years of luxury travel experience, most recently at Oceania Cruises, where she led national accounts and helped steer the line’s broader sales approach. Before that, she held senior roles at AmaWaterways.
“Morgane’s wealth of experience and deep connections within the travel advisor community will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in North America,” said Chris Austin, president of North America for Explora Journeys. He added that her “collaborative spirit and genuine passion for empowering teams” will serve the company well as it widens its network.
In practical terms, Beltaief will oversee consortia development and the performance of key strategic accounts, a remit that places her at the center of the brand’s growth ambitions across the region. She’ll work closely with Aimee Price, vice president of field sales for North America, who has spent four years building out the brand’s on-the-ground presence. Together—with Austin—they form a trio charged with sharpening Explora Journeys’ commercial strength as more ships come online.
The appointment also reflects how the company is approaching its expansion: not just by adding capacity, but by reinforcing the structure behind it. With six ships scheduled to be sailing by 2028, including LNG-powered Explora III and IV, the brand is moving quickly toward a fleet that competes squarely in the top tier of ocean luxury.
Beltaief’s academic background—undergraduate studies in international sales and a master’s degree in sales and marketing from institutions in Paris—rounds out a profile that aligns cleanly with the brand’s European DNA. For Explora Journeys, the addition signals a further tightening of its North American strategy at a time when the line is laying the groundwork for its next phase.
