Alexander+Roberts will celebrates its 80th anniversary with the launch of its 2027-2028 Africa program, which introduces six new private journeys across East and Southern Africa.

The new itineraries, now available for booking, take travelers to destinations including Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and South Africa, combining luxury accommodations, wildlife encounters and immersive cultural experiences. Designed for travelers seeking greater flexibility and exclusivity, all six private journeys can depart on any day and be customized with additional nights or extensions.

The eight-day Untamed Kenya journey takes travelers to Laikipia’s private conservancies, where wildlife encounters include Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, rhinos and African wild dogs. Guests staying at Loisaba Tented Camp can also enjoy guided bush walks, night game drives and horseback or camel safaris.

The nine-day Kenya wildlife itinerary combines Samburu, known for its rare wildlife species, with Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, a sanctuary for black and white rhinos. Accommodations include Lewa Safari Camp, whose profits support conservation initiatives and local communities. For travelers with limited time, the company is introducing two seven-day itineraries.

One Week in Kenya combines Amboseli National Park, known for its elephant herds and views of Mount Kilimanjaro, with three nights in the Maasai Mara, offering opportunities for Big Five game drives and seasonal Great Migration sightings.

Meanwhile, One Week in Tanzania explores Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Between July and October, travelers fly to the northern Serengeti to experience the Great Migration.

Travelers can extend either itinerary with additional nights or visits to destinations such as Zanzibar and Rwanda.

In Southern Africa, the eight-day On Safari in Southern Africa + Victoria Falls itinerary combines Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls and Big Five game drives near Kruger National Park. Experiences range from river safaris to wildlife viewing in private reserves.

The nine-day South Africa: From Coast to Bush journey offers a different perspective, combining Cape Town, the Grootbos Private Nature Reserve on Walker Bay, the Stellenbosch wine region and Savannah Lodge in the Sabi Sand.

At Grootbos, Alexander+Roberts guests can enjoy exclusive experiences, including a botanical tasting menu paired with fine wines, a private tasting with the lodge’s sommelier, and an art class with resident artists.

“Every one of these journeys started with a place we couldn’t stop talking about,” said Beth Karlicek, senior vice president of product development and operations. “Your clients can wake up to the ocean at Grootbos and a few days later be watching leopard in the Sabi Sand.”

Karlicek added that the private format lets travel advisors tailor each itinerary to clients’ interests with extra nights and extensions.

Beyond the six new private journeys, the 2027-2028 Africa brochure also features the company’s established small-group itineraries, limited to 16 guests, with accommodations in intimate luxury camps and lodges.

To celebrate the launch, Alexander+Roberts is offering a $1,000 savings per couple, or $500 for solo travelers, on journeys of five nights or more departing in 2026, 2027, or 2028. The offer is valid for bookings made through Nov. 30, 2026, provided travelers pay in full within seven days of booking and before the final payment deadline.
