Ambergris Cay is adding 12 new waterside bungalows and several expanded villa offerings on its private island in the southeastern Turks and Caicos Islands, with the new accommodations now open for bookings ahead of a June 2026 debut.

The expansion introduces a new bungalow category set directly along the shoreline, alongside two new villas, a full renovation of an existing residence, and an update to the island’s largest estate. The additions increase the property’s range of accommodations available while maintaining a low-density layout across the 1,100-acre footprint.

The 12 waterside bungalows—split evenly between one- and two-bedroom layouts—are set close to the island’s Club House and activity areas, offering direct access to the water. Each residence includes a private terrace with a heated plunge pool, shaded seating, and sun loungers, with kayaks and paddleboards available for use directly from the shoreline.

The one-bedroom bungalows measure approximately 1,600 square feet and accommodate up to three guests, with a king bedroom, indoor-outdoor living space, wet bar, and floor-to-ceiling glass. The two-bedroom layouts span roughly 2,257 square feet, accommodating up to five guests with a primary suite, a second bedroom with convertible bedding, and a shared living area designed for longer stays or small groups.

Alongside the launch of the bungalows, Ambergris Cay has introduced two new villas: Olympus, a four-bedroom beachfront residence spanning 5,446 square feet with direct beach access from its pool terrace, and Tidecrest, a three-bedroom villa totaling 5,780 square feet. The resort has also completed a full renovation of Land’s End, a 4,660-square-foot, four-bedroom oceanview villa positioned for seasonal whale watching.

The Dream Estate, the island’s largest residence, has been expanded to 11 bedrooms across 19,337 square feet, increasing its capacity for larger groups and private-use stays.

“Ambergris Cay continues to attract discerning travelers who value seclusion, direct private air access, and an experience that feels entirely their own,” said Andreas Naegele, vice president of hospitality at Waterloo Hotel Management Ltd.

“As the island evolves, we’re expanding the ways guests can experience it—from intimate waterside bungalows to expansive private villas and estate-style stays—while preserving the natural beauty and sense of exclusivity that define Ambergris Cay. This thoughtful growth allows us to meet the rising demand among high-net-worth travelers for privacy, space, and tailored private experiences.”

Arrivals are handled via Ambergris Cay International Airport, which accommodates charter aircraft and select private jets via one of the Caribbean’s longest private runways. All stays are all-inclusive, covering dining, guided excursions, water sports, and on-island programming.

The new waterside bungalows and expanded villa inventory will welcome guests beginning in June 2026.
