Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, has named longtime Hilton executive Andrew Finn as general manager of the historic Chicago property, placing him in charge of operations at one of the city’s largest and most recognizable hotels.

In the role, Finn will oversee the full guest experience and operational portfolio of the 1,641-room Loop hotel. That includes the property’s dining venues—Lockwood Restaurant & Bar and Potter’s Bar—as well as more than 130,000 square feet of meeting and event space. His responsibilities cover hotel operations, financial performance, and service standards across the property.

Finn arrives with nearly four decades of experience inside the Hilton organization, including leadership roles across several large-scale hotels in the Chicago market. Most recently, he served as general manager of Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport, a position he held beginning in 2023. Prior to that, he led operations at Hilton Rosemont from 2017 to 2022.

His return to Palmer House also carries a degree of familiarity with the property. Finn previously worked at the hotel as hotel manager from 2015 to 2017, giving him direct operational experience inside the historic building he will now oversee.

“Andrew brings a wealth of operational knowledge and leadership experience to Palmer House,” the hotel said in the announcement. “In his new role, he plans to build upon the hotel’s legacy as one of Chicago’s most storied destinations, continuing to enhance the guest experience and preserve its historic character.”

Originally from Ireland, Finn began his Hilton career in Chicago after moving to the United States. He was part of the opening team that launched Kitty O’Sheas, the well-known Irish pub inside the Hilton Chicago, helping establish what would become a decades-long career within the company.

Throughout that time, Finn has held roles spanning hotel operations, finance, and executive leadership, primarily across the Chicago region. His familiarity with both the Hilton brand and the city’s hospitality landscape has made him a recurring presence at several of the brand’s major Illinois properties.

Outside of hotel operations, Finn has also remained active in local industry and civic organizations. He previously served on the boards of the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association and the Chicago Loop Alliance, and is currently a board member of the Murphy Lake Association.

Located in Chicago’s Loop, Palmer House remains one of the largest convention-oriented hotels in the city, known for its historic interiors, expansive ballroom spaces, and central location within the downtown theater and business districts.
