Barrière has begun a new phase of brand organization, announcing that its hotels will now operate under a unified identity: Barrière Collection. The move will consolidate the company’s long-standing properties and recent openings into four defined categories—Signature, Heritage, Address, and Premium.

The Signature category centers on Fouquet’s, which becomes the group’s ultra-luxury flag. Alongside the existing hotels in Paris and New York, Barrière confirmed two new additions: Fouquet’s Courchevel and Fouquet’s Saint-Barth. This places Fouquet’s at the top of the Collection’s hierarchy and establishes it as the group’s primary vehicle for international development.

Heritage, defined by the historic Hôtel Barrière properties, gathers the group’s most established addresses, including Le Normandy in Deauville, Le Majestic in Cannes, L’Hermitage in La Baule, and Le Westminster in Le Touquet. These hotels remain central to Barrière’s identity, and the Collection structure formally groups them as legacy assets with tourism, architecture, and cultural relevance in their respective destinations.

The Address category builds on Barrière’s boutique concept, Maison Barrière. Following the first Maison Barrière Vendôme in Paris, the next confirmed opening is Maison Barrière Príncipe Real in Lisbon, slated for 2026. The Collection describes these properties as highly tailored, residential-style environments with a smaller key count than the historical hotels, adding a more intimate option within the broader portfolio.

Premium will encompass the group’s mixed-leisure and business hotels, many of which include casinos and wellness or conference facilities. This strand includes properties in Cannes, Lille, Ribeauvillé, and Enghien-les-Bains. Under Barrière Collection, these hotels retain their existing positioning while adopting the new brand architecture.

Together, the four categories place the company’s 20 hotels within a more structured global identity, connecting long-running destinations with new international projects. Barrière reports that its full business, which spans 32 casinos, one gaming club, and more than 150 restaurants and bars, generated 1.4 billion euros in revenue for the fiscal year ending October 2024. The company remains under fourth-generation family leadership, with Joy Desseigne-Barrière and Alexandre Barrière as chairmen.

With the new branding now in effect, the next steps focus on the rollout of upcoming hotels, including the two new Fouquet’s openings and Maison Barrière’s expansion into Lisbon in 2026.
