Brickell Arch, formerly Hotel AKA Brickell, has officially relaunched as the Luxury Collection’s newest Miami property, converting the long-standing Brickell landmark into a 201-key upper-tier hotel in the city’s financial core. The hotel opened this week at 1395 Brickell Avenue, overlooking Biscayne Bay.
The property is now more clearly a part of Miami’s competitive luxury set, where newer builds in Brickell and Downtown have raised expectations around design, food and beverage, and public space programming. Rather than a full rebuild, this opening converts an existing high-rise asset with new interiors, refreshed amenities, and a stronger brand identity.
The hotel’s rooms and suites now have a cleaner, more residential feel, leaning on bay and skyline views as a core selling point. Public spaces were reworked by Gabellini Sheppard Associates, focusing on lighter materials and a more contemporary layout intended to better connect lobby, dining, and lounge areas.
Food and beverage is a large part of the new property. ADRIFT Mare, led by chef David Myers, anchors the ground-level offering with a Mediterranean concept that appeals to both hotel guests and the local market. Above that, a rooftop pool terrace and sky lounge function as the property’s primary social spaces, shifting from daytime leisure to evening-driven programming.
Wellness has also been built out to meet current demand patterns. Leaf Spa by K’ALMA and a full fitness center round out the offering, positioning the hotel to compete for both transient leisure and business travelers who extend their stays.
The hotel is now open and operating as part of The Luxury Collection portfolio.
