The Lake Como hotel landscape is shifting again—and this time, the disruption comes from Edition. After a quiet preview this fall, The Lake Como Edition is preparing for its full debut in March 2026, bringing the brand’s minimalist confidence to one of Italy’s most tradition-steeped shorelines.

The project is a partnership between Edition, Omnam Investment Group, and Bain Capital, and is located on a site with history: a former 19th-century palazzo in Cadenabbia, directly across from Bellagio. Rather than re-create the region’s familiar villa aesthetic, the team tapped Neri&Hu and De.Tales to deliver a sharper, contemporary profile that still leaves room for the lake to take the lead. The result is a property where vaulted ceilings, rose-toned plaster, and generous greenery frame the views, while marble-clad social spaces draw guests down toward the waterfront.

The hotel offers 148 rooms, including 25 suites and two penthouses, all executed with Edition’s quietly luxurious touch—walnut beds, sculptural stonework, and restored French balconies in lakeside categories. Villa Gina, a nine-room enclave, adds another layer for travelers who prefer a more private experience.

Dining will likely be the early headline. Mauro Colagreco, fresh off the success of Mirazur, is overseeing four venues—his first project in Italy. Cetino, the signature restaurant, leans into ingredient-forward cooking, while Renzo, an all-day spot with a terrace, draws on Colagreco’s Italian family recipes. A seafood-driven pool restaurant and the brand’s Lobby Bar round out the offering.

The floating pool, perched on a dock just beyond the promenade, is poised to become the property’s visual signature. Guests can arrive by ferry or private boat—the hotel has its own fleet—and step directly into a waterfront complex that includes a lounge bar, cabanas, and uninterrupted lake views. The location also links directly to the Lake Como Greenway, positioning the hotel as a comfortable base for village-hopping between Cadenabbia, Tremezzo, and Lenno.

Wellness takes a prominent role, too. The Longevity Spa, one of the brand’s most ambitious facilities to date, brings biohacking-driven therapies, thermal amenities, and a light-filled indoor pool to the lakeside. Treatments range from Blue Zones-inspired rituals to tech-supported recovery programs designed for travelers who treat wellness as a non-negotiable.

With its preview period complete, The Lake Como Edition now shifts into opening mode for March 2026.
