A new lifestyle hotel brand, The Webster, will debut this summer with The Webster Covent Garden in London, followed by a second property in Times Square, slated for winter 2026. The London hotel, located on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, is now accepting reservations ahead of its July opening, marking the first phase of a two-city rollout tied closely to literary and cultural history.

The Covent Garden property anchors the brand’s introduction, occupying a site long associated with creative exchange; Charles Dickens studied law nearby and drew inspiration from the surrounding streets. The New York project draws on a different literary reference point, taking its name from the historic Webster Hotel, where Gabriel García Márquez stayed with his family in 1961. While details for the Times Square property have not yet been disclosed, the opening is expected later this year.

The designs for both hotels come from the London-based architecture and interior design studio Red Deer. Guestrooms will feature neutral palettes, terrazzo bathrooms, bespoke lighting, and a mix of tactile details, including Marshall speakers, Jacob Jensen phones, classic alarm clocks, and curated book selections. Public areas are organized around flexible social spaces, with library nooks, lounges, and layered lighting that shifts throughout the day. In London, an outdoor lounge will serve as an all-day gathering point, transitioning from morning service to evening cocktails.

Food and beverage programming will play a central role in the London opening. Carmelina’s, an Italian-inspired restaurant and speakeasy located on the lower level, will be joined by a café and aperitivo bar on the lobby terrace, along with a late-night venue called Carla’s List. In New York, The Webster has partnered with Maison Premiere to introduce a dining and nightlife concept tied to the group’s cocktail-focused identity, though further specifics have not yet been released.

The brand’s leadership positions the concept as an alternative to heavily digitized travel experiences. “We’re thrilled to introduce The Webster to travelers in both London and New York City,” said Joseph Turano, the chief operating officer of The Webster. “Our goal is to create spaces that invite curiosity, spark conversation, and cultivate a true sense of belonging—whether that means lingering over a great meal, discovering a new book, or connecting with strangers who quickly become friends.”

The Webster Covent Garden will open with starting rates from $475 per night, with reservations already live. The Webster Times Square is scheduled to debut in winter 2026.
