One&Only is officially heading to the French Alps.
Kerzner International announced this week that One&Only Courchevel will open in 2030 in Courchevel 1850, becoming the brand’s first resort in the Alps and a significant expansion of its growing mountain portfolio. The project will include both a hotel and a limited collection of One&Only Private Homes, positioning the brand directly in one of Europe’s most supply-constrained luxury ski markets.
The resort will take over the longtime site of the historic Courcheneige Hotel in the exclusive Jardin Alpin area, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to the Bellecôte slope and Les Trois Vallées ski domain. According to Kerzner, the property is being completely redeveloped while aiming to preserve the spirit of the original hotel and its place within Courchevel’s hospitality history.
Courchevel already sits at the very top of the global luxury ski market, but branded residential inventory remains relatively limited compared to ultra-luxury beach destinations. One&Only’s arrival also continues a broader trend among luxury hospitality brands to push deeper into alpine and outdoor experiential markets, as affluent travelers increasingly look for year-round mountain destinations rather than purely winter ski products.
Kerzner described the resort as both an “intimate sanctuary” and a social hub for the destination, with a strong emphasis on wellness, dining, and après-ski culture alongside slope access. Plans call for multiple restaurants and lounges, a large wellness sanctuary with indoor and outdoor thermal facilities, recovery-focused treatments, and high-performance fitness spaces geared toward ski travelers.
“Courchevel, one of the most iconic mountain destinations in the world, has long set the standard for luxury mountain travel globally,” said Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International, in the announcement. He added that the project represents “a defining milestone not only for our brand, but for the future of luxury hospitality in the Alps.”
The opening also builds on One&Only’s recent expansion into mountain hospitality following the debut of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana last year.
