Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol has officially opened in Los Cabos, marking the brand’s Mexico debut. The resort is located within the private Cabo del Sol community along the Sea of Cortés, positioned between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, with direct coastal access and proximity to the Tom Weiskopf-designed Cabo del Sol Golf Course.
The property comprises 163 guestrooms and 88 suites, ranging from 452 to 1,254 square feet, as well as three standalone ocean-view villas designed for extended and multi-generational stays. Two of the villas offer two bedrooms with nearly 2,000 square feet of interior space and expansive outdoor patios with private pools, while the three-bedroom presidential villa spans more than 3,200 square feet indoors with a private lap pool and over 3,000 square feet of terrace space. Select accommodations include private plunge pools, and all rooms feature terraces or patios, soaking tubs, and walk-in showers.

Architecture and interiors were led by Sordo Madaleno and Paulina Morán, with George Wong Design and concept design by Yabu Pushelberg. The layout is oriented toward the coastline to maintain uninterrupted ocean views across public and private spaces. The project was conceived as “a sanctuary that provides a home away from home where warmth, serenity, and the spirit of Baja come together in perfect harmony,” explained Madaleno.

Dining at the resort launches with several venues, including Mesa Madre, focused on Mexican cuisine; Costamar Beach Club, offering coastal fare with beach and pool service; and Dátil Coffee Shop, featuring coffee sourced from regions including Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Veracruz. A signature restaurant, Silán, is scheduled to open in spring 2026 with a menu centered on Levantine cuisine influenced by Baja ingredients. Executive Chef Miguel Gomez oversees culinary operations.
Wellness facilities include a 59,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center with a yoga studio, beachside lap pool, and 24-hour fitness space. Araya Spa is expected to open in the first quarter of 2026 and will include treatment rooms, hydrotherapy areas, and a full-service salon.

The resort also offers 34,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Key venues include the Nopal Ballroom, multiple smaller meeting rooms, and several oceanfront lawns and terraces designed for large-scale events and private gatherings. A dedicated show kitchen supports chef-led dining experiences and private events.
General manager Adam Zilber leads the property’s team. “Being a part of the opening of the first Park Hyatt property in Mexico here in Cabo del Sol is an honorable moment for our team,” he said.
Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol joins a growing pipeline for the brand in the country, with Park Hyatt Mexico City and Park Hyatt Cancun both slated to open in 2026.
