Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added 14 properties to its portfolio in the third quarter of 2025, expanding its independent luxury footprint across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. The new members span leisure resorts, boutique coastal retreats, and urban lifestyle hotels.

In Sweden, Backstage Hotel Stockholm joins the Lifestyle Collection. Set in a restored 1880s building, the hotel draws on the city’s creative heritage, offering 57 rooms and suites, including one themed around Abba. Public spaces center around programming and entertainment, from DJ nights to a private karaoke lounge.

Spain’s Costa del Sol sees the return of an established name. Don Carlos Marbella reopened in July following a significant transformation, with refreshed guestrooms and residences, four dining venues, extensive gardens, a signature spa, and Spain’s first Rafa Nadal Tennis Center.

In Brazil, Paru Boutique Hotel debuts in Passo de Camaragibe with 20 suites and bungalows positioned between the beach and the forest. The property focuses on wellness, nature, and local experiences, including meditation, cycling, regional excursions, and access to a manatee sanctuary along the Costa dos Milagres.

North America’s most prominent addition is The Sun Rose West Hollywood, the newly rebranded former Pendry West Hollywood. Located on the Sunset Strip, the hotel introduces a refreshed identity centered around music, culture, and dining, including a rooftop pool and performance venue.

Mexico brings another large-scale entry with BON Park Hotel at VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta, offering suites, multiple dining venues, golf, spa programming, and access to the VidantaWorld entertainment district, including a forthcoming theme park opening in 2026.

Additional new members include properties in Porto, Carmel Valley, Milan, Seville, Riyadh, Shelter Island, Rome, Healdsburg, and Riviera Maya. Many of the new hotels participate in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, and travelers can earn 2,500 bonus points for eligible bookings made by Dec. 31 for stays through March 2026.
