Regent has opened its first hotel in Indonesia with the debut of Regent Bali Canggu. The new-build property sits on the beachfront in Canggu on Bali’s southwest coast, positioned between the Indian Ocean and the area’s terraced rice fields. The opening is the brand’s market entry following IHG’s acquisition and recent relaunch of Regent.
The resort includes 150 rooms, suites, and villas, all oriented toward either ocean or garden views. Several accommodations offer direct access to the property’s lagoon. The largest unit, a 6,000-square-foot penthouse, features a 300-square-foot private infinity pool on the beachfront. Two additional two-bedroom configurations are designed to accommodate up to six guests, each with a separate living area.

The project brings together WATG Architects, Hirsch Bedner Associates for interiors, and landscape designer John Pettigrew. Materials such as stone, teak, and marble appear throughout the spaces, along with celadon-toned accents and lattice screens that filter natural light. The resort’s design includes elements inspired by surrounding villages and rice paddies.
Regent Bali Canggu debuts the first Regent Spa, developed by IHG’s in-house Spa & Wellness consultants, Raison d’Etre. The spa will serve as the model for upcoming Regent properties in Jeddah and Kuala Lumpur. Facilities include seven treatment rooms—one for couples—along with a vitality pool, ice baths, saunas, and a warm quartz sand bed used in a treatment called the Massage Revolution. The spa menu features Balinese scrubs, wraps, and massages, as well as contemporary skincare treatments. A 24-hour health club offers both a mat studio and a full gym.

The property’s six dining venues include two concepts from chef Andrew Walsh. Sazón, located along Batu Bolong, focuses on Mediterranean-influenced dishes. Cure Bali, scheduled to open in early 2026, draws from Walsh’s Singapore flagship and combines Asian influences with seasonal Indonesian ingredients. Additional venues include Taru, which serves Indonesian dishes, as well as a Beach House, Pool Bar, and Lounge.
Guest services at the resort include the Regent Experience Agent, a designated point of contact throughout the stay. This service also includes check-in support, room configuration assistance, and activities such as Rip Curl-certified surf lessons or arrival by helicopter. Rooms feature a daily-replenished Refreshment Gallery stocked with beverages and light snacks, including local teas, Balinese chocolates, and spirits and cocktails made with regional ingredients.
Regent Bali Canggu expands Regent’s presence in Asia and joins the brand’s portfolio of 11 operational properties across nine countries, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Santa Monica, Cannes, and Phu Quoc.
