Rome Cavalieri Names William Fisher as General Manager
The longtime Hilton leader brings global experience to one of Rome’s flagship hotels.

Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, has appointed William Fisher as General Manager. He joins from Hilton London Metropole, where he oversaw the refurbishment of the hotel’s public spaces.
Fisher has more than three decades of experience with international postings across Europe and Asia. His early career included rapid promotions in China, with roles at Hilton Dali Resort & Spa and the opening of Hilton Chengdu in 2015. He later served as area general manager in Szechuan and then the greater Shanghai region, managing operations in markets known for high volume and ambitious development pipelines.
His background also includes senior leadership positions with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the Ritz-Carlton, and Orient Express, giving him exposure to a range of luxury brand standards and operating environments.
At Rome Cavalieri, Fisher will oversee daily operations and support ongoing efforts around service delivery, sustainability initiatives, and team development. The hotel notes that his leadership style is hands-on and people-focused, aligning with the property’s emphasis on consistency and long-tenured staff culture.

Fisher holds a degree from Loyola University New Orleans.
