Six Senses has opened Six Senses Amaala, its second property in Saudi Arabia, expanding the luxury wellness brand’s presence in the Kingdom following the debut of Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea.

Located within the Amaala destination on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, the resort is set amid more than 1,600 square miles of protected coastline bordered by desert mountains, coral reefs, beaches, and mangrove lagoons.

The opening follows the debut of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Amaala at Triple Bay last month, making Six Senses the second luxury hotel brand to open within the Red Sea destination this year. Amaala is being developed as a luxury tourism destination focused on wellness and sustainability, and will feature brands including Rosewood, Miraval, and St. Regis.

The new Six Senses resort features 100 suites and villas, along with 25 branded residences. The accommodations draw inspiration from traditional Saudi coastal architecture and are designed for families and groups, with a layout that encourages shared experiences and connections with the surrounding landscape.

Wellness is central to the guest experience, with a Six Senses Spa featuring a Longevity Center, Biohacking Recovery Lounge, outdoor Watsu pool, and dedicated sound dome. The wellness offering also includes cryotherapy, PEMF therapy, thermal facilities, yoga, fitness classes, and multi-day retreat programs. The resort incorporates the brand’s sleep-focused accommodations and its “Eat With Six Senses” dining philosophy.

Dining options include three restaurants that highlight Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Japanese, and Latin American cuisines, along with a coffee roastery, an artisan bakery, and a cooking school. The resort has also introduced an extensive nonalcoholic beverage program featuring botanical infusions, fermented drinks, probiotic tonics, and signature mocktails.

The opening expands Six Senses’ Middle East portfolio, which includes Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman and Six Senses Shaharut in Israel. Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, is expected to open later this year.
