The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has completed a set of upgrades across accommodations, dining, recreation, and wellness at its private-island property in the Dhaalu Atoll, with the enhancements now in place as of this month.

The most substantial accommodation update centers on the resort’s two-bedroom family villa, which has been expanded to 4,300 square feet. The redesign adds 700 square feet of indoor living space and reconfigures the villa’s private pool into a 320-square-foot infinity pool, doubling its previous size. The beachfront area has also been reworked, with a wider stretch of sand intended to create a more direct transition between the villa and the lagoon.

The resort’s dining offering has also been updated with the reopening of Cargo, its open-air restaurant set within the island’s gardens. The venue now focuses on cuisine inspired by historic Indian Ocean spice routes, drawing from Indian, Sri Lankan, and Maldivian influences.

Recreational facilities have been expanded with the addition of a padel court, located alongside the resort’s existing tennis court. The wellness component of the renovation includes a comprehensive update to the resort’s fitness center. New Technogym equipment has been installed across cardio and strength categories, including the Artis Cardio, Skillrun, and Strength series. The gym now also incorporates the Technogym Checkup System, which provides assessments of posture, body composition, and physical performance, allowing for more individualized training sessions during a stay.

“Our commitment is to continually elevate the guest experience while honoring the natural beauty and spirit of Vommuli Island,” said Vincent Pauchon, the resort’s general manager. “These enhancements, which span our reimagined villas to our elevated culinary and wellness offerings, reflect our dedication to providing meaningful, memorable, and impeccably crafted moments for every guest.”

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is located on a secluded island, approximately 45 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport in Malé. Known for its contemporary architecture and large-format villas, the property is one of Marriott International’s flagship St. Regis resorts in the region.
