The Ocean Club Will Debut Refreshed Hartford Wing Rooms This October
The historic Hartford Wing’s 24 ocean-view guestrooms and two suites will emerge from a refresh in October, with reservations now open for fall stays.

The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, in the Bahamas will unveil refreshed accommodations in its historic Hartford Wing this fall, updating some of the Paradise Island resort’s most sought-after ocean-view rooms while keeping the character of its original guest wing.
Beginning in early October, the resort will debut 24 refreshed Hartford Ocean View Guestrooms and two Hartford Ocean View Suites. Reservations are already open for stays beginning Oct. 8, 2026, following the Ocean Club’s seasonal closure.
The Hartford Wing dates to The Ocean Club’s 1962 opening and is centered around a palm-lined courtyard. Its location is one of its primary draws: accommodations are close to the resort’s main lobby, spa, Martini Bar, and dining venues. Ground-floor rooms have private terraces with direct access to the lawn, making them particularly convenient for families, while second-floor rooms offer more privacy. Both overlook the Atlantic.
“These accommodations are among our most sought-after, cherished by guests for their historic character, exceptional location, and proximity to the Resort’s main lobby and dining venues,” said John Conway, general manager of The Ocean Club.
Palm Beach-based interior designer Joanna Kerr is leading the redesign, which takes cues from the colors and textures of the Bahamian shoreline. Darker wood paneling in the guestrooms will be replaced by blue linen-inspired wallcoverings, complemented by layered wood finishes, custom marine-life artwork and patterned textiles. New furnishings subtly reference vintage travel trunks, while black-and-white photography nods to the resort’s history.
Bathrooms are also being updated with large-format wave-patterned stone tile, basketweave mosaics and new stone details, while guestrooms will receive sand- and shell-inspired tile flooring. Custom rugs draw on the basketweave motifs found in the Hartford courtyard.
“This redesign beautifully complements the historic setting of The Ocean Club, where classical architecture, lush tropical gardens, and the ever-changing light of the ocean create an atmosphere that is both refined and transportive,” Kerr said.
The Hartford Wing project follows other recent additions at The Ocean Club, including a refresh of the adults-only Versailles Pool and the debut of two illuminated padel courts. The resort also offers three resurfaced Har-Tru tennis courts, pickleball, basketball and a multi-purpose turf field.
