Abercrombie & Kent Unveils Expanded 2027 Small Group Journeys Collection

Abercrombie & Kent has announced that it will add nine new Small Group Journeys to its 2027 lineup, moving far beyond the usual Europe circuit and into less expected territory.

Its new itineraries focus on destinations such as Albania, North Macedonia, Armenia, and Georgia, alongside more experience-driven trips, including a luxury rail journey in Malaysia and expanded programs in Alaska and Southern Africa.

The shift aligns with what advisors are already seeing: demand for Europe isn’t slowing, but clients are looking beyond the obvious stops, and there’s more interest in trips that feel immersive without going fully custom. A&K’s Small Group Journeys, which are capped at around 14 guests and led by Resident Tour Directors, sit in that middle space, giving structure with enough access and flexibility to pull in travelers who might otherwise book private itineraries.

Here’s the breakdown of the new itineraries:

Armenia and Georgia: Cultures of the Caucasus: Discover two former Soviet republics rich in history and striking natural beauty. Taste rare wines in Georgia, experience the grandeur of Armenia’s magnificent churches, and savor the region’s diverse music and cuisine.

Cultural Landscapes of Albania and North Macedonia: From dramatic mountain landscapes to inviting beaches along the turquoise Adriatic, this emerging European destination captivates with its scenery and savory Balkan cuisine. Trace the legacy of the Ottoman Empire and discover a longstanding tradition of religious tolerance, reflected in architecturally diverse mosques and churches.

Italian Treasures: Venice to Amalfi: Discover Italy’s highlights with unrivaled insider access to iconic landmarks, exquisite cuisine and curated experiences. Wander through Venice’s hidden gardens and private palaces, take part in a pasta-making experience in Bologna, enjoy exclusive access to the private areas of Rome’s Villa Medici, and experience the Vatican Museums at their finest, with early entry to admire the Sistine Chapel before the crowds.

The Alps to the Adriatic: Exceptional hotels, expert guides and exclusive experiences elevate this journey from Munich and Salzburg through Tyrol and the soaring Dolomites to coastal Trieste. Savor the flavors of Bavaria on a guided foodie walking tour, discover the secrets of prosecco in the hills of Treviso, and enjoy a wellness-focused trek through the Alpine foothills alongside alpacas.

Poland: Witness to History: Take in the country’s beautiful landscapes and Baroque architecture, as well as its solemn history. Discover the lively culture and cuisine of this often-overlooked European gem on a guided tour of medieval Malbork Castle, a backstreets food tour of Warsaw and a private Chopin recital.

Singapore to Bali: Malaysia by Luxury Rail: Explore Singapore before boarding the luxurious Eastern & Oriental Express, discovering Malaysia’s hidden gems through a choice of experiences, from an introduction to traditional Malay culture in Perlis to relaxing on a scenic beach in Langkawi. Then fly to Bali for a restful stay amid Ubud’s lush countryside and the beaches of Jimbaran Bay.

Alaska Wilderness, Denali and the Last Frontier: Experience the many facets of Alaska’s still-wild frontier, from walking portions of the Port Valdez Trail System and traveling along the Denali Highway to cruising icy fjords of Prince William Sound, driving through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, one of Alaska’s most unique passages, and landing by helicopter on top of a glacier.

Ultimate South Africa Adventure: Venture off the beaten path on a journey of curated experiences focused on food and wine, nature, marine life and wildlife, including a three-night stay at Grootbos Forest Lodge. Enjoy two days of game drives in MalaMala Game Reserve, one of South Africa’s largest private Big Five reserves, and set out in search of the Marine Big Five on a boating excursion. Discover historic Stellenbosch on foot and sample renowned vintages during tastings at estates across the Cape Winelands.

Family Adventure in Southern Africa: Discover the diverse treasures of Southern Africa on a journey designed especially for families, with hotels selected with children in mind and curated, kid-friendly experiences not offered on other group journeys. Highlights include a private dinner overlooking the shark exhibit at Two Oceans Aquarium and a veterinarian-led rhino conservation experience in Marakele National Park.

Each Small Group Journey includes handpicked accommodations, from five-star properties that combine exceptional comfort with a strong sense of place to intimate boutique camps and lodges in remote wilderness areas, accessible only to smaller groups.

Abercrombie & Kent exclusives also include Traveller’s Valet®, a complimentary mid-journey laundry service, and Travelling Bell Boy® service for seamless luggage transfers between accommodations. Private arrival and departure transfers are also included, regardless of travel dates.
