Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe has appointed Shannon Schwier as general manager, putting a longtime Four Seasons operations executive at the helm of the 65-room resort in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Schwier arrives from Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, where she served as opening resort manager. Her appointment comes as the Santa Fe property continues to build on its position in the market; U.S. News & World Report recently named it the No. 1 resort in New Mexico in its 2026 rankings.
A Four Seasons veteran since 2013, Schwier began with the company as director of housekeeping at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, later becoming director of rooms. She moved to Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach in 2015, then became hotel manager at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown in 2018. In 2021, she joined the opening team at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale as opening hotel manager.
Her recent roles have given her particular experience with new and repositioned luxury properties. At Naples Beach Club, Schwier helped lead the opening of the Gulf Coast resort, while additional task-force and interim assignments have taken her to Four Seasons properties including The Surf Club, Anguilla, Philadelphia, Beverly Wilshire and Nashville. Four Seasons said she also led Fort Lauderdale through periods of executive transition.
Schwier, an Indianapolis native, has traveled to all 50 U.S. states, more than 60 countries, all seven continents, and more than 90 Four Seasons properties. She holds a degree in philosophy with a minor in music from the University of Indianapolis and has completed professional development certifications through Cornell University. She relocates to Santa Fe with her husband, Christian, and their two cats, Buster and Poof.
